CRM Activity Maintenance/Inquiry <CRM>

The main function of the <CRM> function is to enable the user to manage customer related tasks. For example, keep a record of tasks performed, tasks "to-do" etc.

The tasks available for recording are Appointments With, Bookings For, E-Mails Logged, Phone Calls Logged, Memo's Interested in, Documents Imported, and, General Tasks.

The [CRM] function allows the user to maintain these activities within the one screen, but each task as mentioned above, has its own quick key. You can also refer to to the individual sections for details on these quick keys, although the procedure will be the same as for the <CRM> screen.

Adding a new activity

The procedure for adding a new activity under the <CRM> function is as follows:

  1. Add [INS]
  2. Click on the down arrow button within the section TYPE and select the relevant activity by clicking on it to highlight.
  3. Save [F9]
  4. The activity will automatically be allocated a reference number.
  5. Edit [F2] to enter details associated with the activity.
  6. Description: Click here to enter brief details of the activity
  7. Attributes of the activity: You may enter details as follows, by clicking on the Value box within the table
  • Note: - Type in any notes associated with the activity. (Use your <Shift F4> keys for space for more information. Click on OK [F9] when completed).

Also, while under the <Shift F4> function you may also import documents or emails into your notes by Clicking on IMPORT, choosing the correct filename and click on OPEN. Likewise, if you wish to send a note that you have written, or export it to another document, click on EXPORT, select the appropriate file name and Save. Clear is also an option.

  • Keywords: - Type in any word or words that will act as a prompt during a Find search.
  • Start: - Use your <shift + up and down arrows> to select the date that the task is to be recorded.
  • To Do User: - This will automatically appear with the user name of the person logged in at the computer. A right click in this box will bring up the following options:

Add Object - This allows you to add another activity, using the same reference number that you are already using.
