Sale Order <SO>

The function of the Sale Order <SO> is to create a request for items to be sent to the customer. The other function is to place stock items as 'on order' or allocated, enabling greater tracking of stock movement and availability.

A Sale Order may be raised from a pre-prepared Sale Quote transaction, and in turn, a Sale Invoice is able to be raised from a Sale Order.
